I´ve heard that in the mac version of 2142, that tooltip remains the same (the "alt+F4" one), even though the mac command for exiting programs is "option+Q"

It's a fun hint, and for those unknowing of what it does, atleast it gives them a new experience to keep in mind next time, just in case another tells them to do it. Though Alt+F4 is common knowledge these days, i guess.

nope, nothing bad will happen to your computer. Neither will it affect your game
i often use it when i need to get out of something quickly, but if i can bring up the task manager i have found that much quicker and i prefer that when i can use it.

Nope.

The only potential damage is that to the players near you when you disconnect from the game

Alt+F4 is the shortcut for clicking close (The x in the top right corner despite the fact it is invisible in games)

Some people just don't know what alt-F4 does. They hear someone say it does something special like open a secret command line, and they fall for it.
A lot of our tips are parodies of the vanilla ones. Some are to be taken lightheartedly some are more serious. We'll leave it up to you to decide which is which.

i was getting ready to play fs... it was loading a level so i read the fs tip and it said despite what people might tell you, pressing alt+f4 is not a way to become a jedi ect. so i just wana know is this a parody of EA's advise despite what people may tell you pressing alt+f4 is not a way to get an unlock in the game, or are people actually saying this stuff?
