I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or not but here it is. I installed my bf2142 to a drive other than the default location. I.E. E:\ instead of C:\. When I installed fs I assumed it was going to the correct location. It had actually created a new folder on another drive and installed there. No matter what I did, I could not get it to install to the proper location. I ended up having to manually place the files in the correct location. Also the shortcut on my desktop was pointing to the wrong location and needed to be corrected.

I did all this quite some time ago now. I just remembered about this post now. That was my fix.

reinstall 2142. patch it to 1.25 install FS and then patch it up to 1.4

Then I can't help you, memory.dll is a 2142 file, 2142 will not run without it, no matter the mod.

2142 runs fine, it is only FS that won't launch.

Re-install 2142. memory.dll is a 2142 file, so you installed 2142 incorrectly or your install is corrupted. This is not a FS problem nor a problem FS can cause. Hitting ignored when you install over 1.4 should cause no problems.

O.K. hears the problem. I updated bf2142 before installing first strike. I got an error saying it needed to be version 1.25 or something like that, but gave me an option to ignore the error(im a dumbass) witch I did. When I try to launch FS I get the error "This appliication has failed to start because MEMORY.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Which of course i tried to no avail.
