Xerohour has stepped down as an FSDev, yes.  His real life is too hectic right now for him to be able to put enough time into FirstStrike.  This is a side thing for all of us, we all have other things we have to focus on, and sometimes there just isn't going to be room to do both for some of us.  It's nothing to worry about, the mod will go on.  We appreciate the work he has done in the past, but one person does not mean the life or death of the mod.

No, it was Xero shutting down the DB after he left FS.

I think the biggest loss was that list of 30 or so suggestions and criticism points from whoever it was in the suggestions forum. Hope for his sake he had it saved in a notepad file somewhere, and that he didn't just delete it afterwards.
