I realize this is a late response, but just in case someone else is wondering:

The Registry fix tricks the BF2editor installer into thinking that you have BF2 installed. The BF2editor does not need BF2 to run. BF2editor default is installed into the BF2 folder, which it will create if it's not there.

There is a tutorial on the BF2 editor site on how to set up BF2editor for use with BF2142.

Well, I try running the Editor, but it says that BF2 is not installed. And, as I have said I have already, I downloaded this registry thing.

I have read the fricking thread, it's just that all the explaining is fragmented and not complete. Not everyone is good at this, Twigs, so I suggest you be patient.

read the fricking thread. The answer is like three posts above you. If this is the level of intelligence you show getting the editor installed, I have my doubs about you producing anything at all.

So I downloaded this thing. I also have downloaded the BF Editor. Where do I extract the Editor without the BF2 game? What I mean is where do I put the Editor when I have downloaded this text thing you provided in this topic. When all that is done, I can start right?

im sorry to keep asking and i feel really stupid but i just dont get it i have it in the registry and if i run it it says that it is already in the registry what do i do know plz??

note: you can change the direction of installation.
