I have nVidia 7800, 2 gig ram, and it runs COD4 on all high fine, I'm pretty impressed.

Looking to buy a new computer by next Christmas, don't know what will be out then though, but when I do buy it, it is going to be whatever is the best of the best at the time.

I thought about getting a 7600, or one of the other high performance 7 series from nvidia, but I really want dx10 when I finally decide to install the copy of vista in my drawer. Oh, and I realize I could have gotten an 8600gt for about the same price, but I hate mail order. I just don't trust it. Plus, its hard to get gift cards for your birthday to newegg -_-

EDIT: Oh, and now I can play cod4 >.>

ive got amd 2.2 duel core 2gig ram and a 8800gts 640mb i got this card cos ive got a 46inch lcd sony bravia tv games look just amazing on it..im running 2 screens of it and i have switch box with my tv plugged into it........:D:D

All I know is that I got 2.1 gigs of ram, nvidea geforce go 7800 and I dont ever lag unless the server has mega ping or something.

your computer should be fine on all highs even with background programs running i have a geforce 6200 and it works fine keep an eye on it lol

Yes, Nice rig Jot.
The 8800gt, actually outperforms the 8800ultra, and gtx.
The gt is the card im planning on getting once i start to build my new rig, which should be finished just after christmas sometime.
what was the price and where did you get the 8800gt, Blah64 ?

the 8800 is in a class of its own. It out-renders the 8500 almost 10 times over, and thats not the box numbers based on integrated grafix, thats benchmark scores. But the 8500 does pretty good, i can max 2142, and I can max everything but AA(only on x2) in oblivion. but... the 8500 is only around 100 usd, so im fine with it. It actually sucks less power than my 7300 gs did, with twice the integrated ram, which is what let my OC my dualcore again.

I got an 8800GT, and it runs this game fine on highest settings. It is much better than my previous integrated 6150LE.

nice rig man, i like your setup i want to get a 8500 when i can afford it.. but as imperial said, it should run fine on high and when i do get one, (if i ever do! ) i'll try and tell ya how its workin out

Sorry, to clarify, 2 gig sticks and 2 512 sticks. Oh, and now the core is running at 2,354 mhz. Gotta love the gigantic fan amd includes with they're processor's-I think it could cool down my car.

3 1 gig sticks? 2 1 gig sticks and 2 512 sticks? There are lots of ways. Can't say I've used a 8500GT though, but I'd imagine it would be able to run FS smoothly on all high.

Does anyone else on here use a nvidia 8500GT? I just swapped it out for my old 7300 and I want to know what kind of results other people can get in FS and other games.

Rest of my pc goes something like this:

AMD Althon63 X2 4200+ (2x2.2ghz)
3gig ddr2-4200 ram
X-fi extremegamer sound card
8500 GT 512mb
