Also, if the website was down and the forum played up and you guys took it on yourselves to rectify the situation, it may have been presumptuous, as I run the serves on my end and it is difficult to keep up with the MySQL errors that need fixing all the time and system errors that do throw the website out of wack for some days.

The thing is , the forum went down just after Xero left the mod. He's a decent bloke but has over-reacted on a few occasions in the past. If he is no longer part of the mod then he has no say on the matter. All the work we do is the property of FirstStrike. That includes website graphics aswell as models , textures and maps. Xero didnt/doesnt have a leg to stand on and Im quite annoyed by his public outburst.

I too am sorry that the situation has come to this and hope it gets sorted soon. Till then, I have placed a banner and link on my main domain flash page to direct people here. I hope this will do? I don't suppose you could put a little note on your site pointing people this way?  We'll gladly put up a note pointing Star Trek fans in your direction if you could, so hopefully it helps both of us.

I know for a fact that what is said here and how it's said  by all of us can either help or hurt the situation.  Here's hoping that both sides will try to bridge the gap and reconcile.  (That's GOT to be easier to accomplish than the bizarre mix of circumstances that led to all this.)

Xero basicaly went way overboard and became a member of the Petty club, until they started charging him so he left after drawing moustaches on the founders faces.

Also, why the name change in the first place? As AllFiredUp said, the Google ranking is so hard to get and keep... for our mod, if you type in "star trek hl2 mod" we are first on ModDB and all over the front page in various areas, and "enterprise hl2 mod" all over the front page, "enterprise mod" first on SciFi Meshes website, "enterprise temporal cold war" top 9 of 10 front page, and the list goes on.. so there is no reason for us to hack anything, we are tops in the Star Trek side of the modding search...

Well thanks to Xero he wouldn't give us the admin to fsmod.com and when we made a new website he threatened to sue us because he believes that he owns FS.  I doubt he'll file a lawsuit though.
