Shouldn't you be able to have those recorded straight to your harddrive?  I'm still wondering about this as well since I'm still new to BF2142 by only a few months.  Only reason I got BF2142 is because of FIRST STRIKE!!!

If you played a round on a server with Battlerecorder (not much server with BR) you can download the BR Files.
To download go ingame to the section "Community", were is a lable called Battlerecorder (the other is "Games", there you can switch mods or visit a mods website).

Battlerecorderfiles are mostly saved on a FTP Server and in most cases the oldes BRfiles have been overwritten after 24 hours.
So most of the BR-Links in BF 2142 are to old to download.

The links to the BR-Files are been saved on:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\USERNAME\Eigene Dateien\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001\DemoBookmarks.con

It's a text file, and can be viewed and edited with the windows editor:

The link http://bf2demos.k-play.de/server3182/au … bf2142demo is the direct link to the br file.
Copy & paste the links from "DemoBookmarks.con" is a easy way to get the thing downloaded.

A good tool for viewing BR-Files ist the Battledirector:

Mortar_laststand (keep a look out for the firefight in the city centre at Palace Ruins) and Endor (defense of Imperial Outpost) are the ones with decent action in them, if I remember correctly.

In short, you need to play the recording with the same mod and mod version you used to record it with. Sad, but true.

If you host the server, you can record shots yourself, and those are saved to your disk. If you don't host the server, though, it's the server that does the recording, and you'll have to download the clip from the web.

Important: I remembered after uploading them that some of the clips were made using alpha testing builds and other mini-mods and can't be run with 'Vanilla FS', so if FS crashes while loading a clip, that's why. Sorry for forgetting that .
