Understood .
Im saving the current one anyway , and will work on another without characters.
I still think Leia is hot. I had such a crush on her in my single digit years , lol .
Starfighters and stormtroopers and death stars OK ? What about droids ? I will just make some and then let it pass judgement.
The main focus , of course, is to get good looking video compression streaming in an interactive manner.
I will put more focus on video quality and video content .

Safe-keeper is right sadly we can't use movie characters anywhere, but your overlay loosk very nicy though!

Wookies as a race aren't copyrighted, so the devs are apparently putting them in. Me and Ty have been vocal against having Wookiees run around regular human Rebels on every map where they didn't in the movies and Lore, but last thing I heard, they were going through with it.

But... don't make any changes until a dev tells you what needs to be done. They're the ones with the knowledge.

But if you think about it , the stormtroopers are quite unique trademark to starwars too ...
so are the ship designs .
lots of fuzzy lines and fuzzy boundaries if you ask me , lol .
I can get very generic with the art if I have to ... whatever they would like .

These characters dont appear in the mod. Doesnt make much sense to me.

I have a feeling that if they can't appear in the mod, they can't appear on the site.

They are the essence of star wars ... but I see your point.
I will crank out some alternate overlays.
The art isnt the technical challenge ... It is getting all the layers and peices to function correctly.
I could make colored dog-turds floating in space like a giant christmas wreath around the screen , for that matter ...

whatever it takes ... but i think , really, as long as we dont use the trademarks in a commerce ($$) fashion, we are clear . For all they know thats me in drag holding a blaster pistol with the come-hither look ...
If they were selling the mod for money, or promotional materials for money, there would be problems.
If they want a different overlay, I can swap it out.

Er... just one problem, I'm afraid. I don't think the devs can use movie main characters on their site due to copyright issues. So you'll have to replace them with generics like stormtroopers or perhaps player models from the mod.

I cant embed the flash on this forum , so I will give a link to v2.1 with a single high resolution video of a dogfight thats layered into the artwork.
Gives a pretty good idea of a working model.
The finished product will have a couple buttons and a selection of different videos to choose to play.

Lets see how she looks as a stand alone ... as stand alone it is scalable based on the size you make the window. On the website, the webmaster decides the scale, as its locked in place.
