Maybe different buildings/places around maps would have weapons suited to them. Military base: Average weapons. Lab: Experimental/special weapons. Ruins: Old weapons somehow related to the ruins. (can anyone say, "Lanvarok"?) I think it would be a cool idea...

I think including other races de-facto into the rebel army would be a little awkeward. I think Wookies' etc. would best be introduced on a map that has to do with that race's home planet. A map on Kashyyk would be awsome ... I would like to see a wookie soldier as an option to the rebel army on that map only ... perhaps the wookie can be configures with different weapons loadouts for variation. I also wouldn't be opposed to an all wookie army on Kashyyk ... but how would the commo rose work speaking as a wookie? Aaarrggh!

Pick up kits I can do without just as I am happy without the parachutes from 2142. I do think, though, that players should be more limited in their weapons loadout. Rather than a player who has it all and can do everything on his/ her own, I think a class should have access to a selection of gadgets based upon the main weapon within the class they choose.

For example, a Trooper who selects the sniper rifle should have access to the binoculars and other sniper/ recon associated gear where the Trooper who selects the blaster rifle should have access to the scanner droid and stationary scanner rings etc.

I think if we make each soldier more specialized then he/ she will have to rely more on teamwork and squad-play to survive and win.

Also, and this might be a little off topic, I think we need to introduce some persistent stats to FS. I think we should have wins, losses ... stats that reflect team-work and group play, perhaps ranks too. I think we need to add a little something to attract new players and say, "hey, its worth playing this game for the long haul as you can accumilate stats and ranks based on how well you help your team win". Of course we dont want to attract the hack/ cheeat crowd so its a balancing act in that reguard.

Like I said they could code the voices like regular 2142, but all grunts would have the same voice per team and all SLs/Commanders would have the same voices per team. Which I have no problem with personally.

Especially since this unique way of coding only benefits ONE team in the mod, and it doesn't add ANYTHING to the gameplay what-so-ever.

This game needs a reform of gameplay, not stupid visual or sound changes. Look at any other game and you will see the same problemsor strengths.

uh, i just wondered about this topic, if you pick up a kit of the enemy in vanilla bf, you still have your voice commands. so for instance if you are EU, kill a PAC guy and pick up his kit, you still have your english commands, so i wondered if all ppl on one team (except for the commander and maybe squadleaders, but im not sure about this one) have the same voice setup no matter what kit they have.

so i wondered if it was possible to bind the (for instance) wookie voices to some kind of commander (though you dont have one) and still have him have his voice after picking up a different kit... (this would allow at least 2 voice setups per team)
