It was the 1.4 Beta Patch for BF2142 that caused us a lot of problems with compatability issues. This meant a lot of people had problems getting FS up and running, and to be fair there were internal stability issues on the first release as well that would have rocked the boat a bit, but they were fixed pretty quickly, but unfortunately these initial problems probably scared quite a few people away, and a lot of them are waiting for 1.2 to come around hoping that that will make a more stable debut.

You play it for a few months, and as great as it is, you get bored with playin the same maps over and over. Some mods put out a ton of maps, and thats what helps them keep their players.

But yea, with 1.2 of FS, activity should spike back.

The last patch did indeed kill your community , as does every month without an update . I've resorted to playing EMpire at War for my fix, because there aint nobody playing this mod.

It's hard to say there is 5 max unless you just get on at the completely wrong times. The numbers vary depending what time/day it is. Anyways, i think we will get more people after patch 1.2, a lot of people are just standing by waiting for it.

This is such a great mod, its really a masterpiece.  Its a huge disappointment that not many people play it.  Regardless though, I played tonight on a server with 2v2 and I still had great fun.

I just yesterday convinced another clan member he could play FS with no client patch ... and that
all the servers were fixed already ... so the main public still thinks their game is broke.
next patch should fix the numbers problem as long as EA doesnt come out with another lame patch for 2142.
