And that it has nothing to do with unlocks is even better as mentioned before people who sit and play all day would have a massive advantage over those who only have a few hours to play.

When are the stats updated, been watching the site waiting for an update for nearly 5 hours I think!!

See, THIS is what people want, not lightsabers...duh. How could I have not realized that. And I'll tell ya, its true. We have quite a couple of people in my clan that we like to refer to as 'point whores' Finished everything in 2142? well yeah! CoD4 and its ranks and TF2 and its ranks just came out!

Good move though. I know it wont entirely solve the problem, but you should make it so they have to be in a squad to get the awards. Make it they can ONLY earn them while in squads...Like you cant do stuff alone then join a squad to get the awards...

People are going to hate it and leave the mods if you do that.
Again, make there only a FEW awards if they are not in a squad, but have BETTER awards when they are in squads so they will probably join them, but aren't forced to. If you force them to join squads they won't like it and we lose players.

Seriously, though, what do you all think of the stats system? I don't like them personally, as they tend to detract from teamwork, but if it brings more players to the mod I'm all for it.

...but generally i like the BF 2142 Stats-System more than the BF2 Stats-System.

Both are used to limit the access of the unlocks.
Limited access to the unlock is good because:

1.) It keeps the players motivated to play a hour longer and getting a new rank and a super cool toy (diabolo effect) = Sugar
2.) You can punishing a cheating player by deleting his stats and all his toys are gone = Lash

The BF2142 Stats-Unlock-System is better because you can test the Unlocks with the Fieldupgrades, and Fieldupgrades are only granted by giving and following orders.

Personally I don't need a Ranking in FirstStrike, but i would like to have the BF 2142 Fieldupgradesystem so you must follow Orders to get your Droids and Scanners...

Im just hoping there wont be discrimination against those who dont have headsets.

If you don't have a headset, you need one. Srsly.
