I like the close combat maps the most and out of them my obvious choice is tatooine mos espa.
there are lots of great sniping spots for sharpshooters and tons of debris to hide behind nearby most of the flags. also the squad spawn beacon is great for the empire on this map. i love spwaning behind enemy flags lol.

1) Escape from Hoth, I just love the space maps though can be frsutrating to see people jumping in a transport and then trying to drive it off the edge of the map cause they dont know where to go. Still, flying ROCKS!

2) Endor Strike Team, Beautiful map and a lot of fun. Get some good squads on either team and the imps can either hold an area for ages or the rebels can stomp all over them. This really does force teamwork and communication.

3) Tatooine Mos Espa, Great level and love running through the city. As has been said it gets dull when you have ATST campers with only about four people on. Another level that rely's on team work and squads to dominate.

4) Battle of Taloraan, again for the flying but this one really needs a bigger player base before it becomes fun, otherwise everyone ends up in a cap ship and then it takes forever to get anywhere and the action becomes stale and repetitive.

5) Mos Entha, this for me is really just somewhere you run round in circles recapping one after the other, especially when there are only a few on. Gets a bit boring at times, but if you leave the server there is more chance of everyone else leaving. Stay on and you have a better chance of other people joining a busy server.

I guess these will all change with r2 since there will be nice shiny new maps etc to play with and it may bring back some of the player base.

Even with AP mines everywhere.

- One team to the rope bridge. Since AP mines can be set where detpacks can't get em, lots of medics and a SL who stays back helps here...and patience.

- Another team up the spiral walkway where u can cap the flag without being on the platform. Heavy Weapons and support get this job. The support guy takes out the ap mines along the way and the heavy weapons guy lays down the shield to protect themselves while capping

- the last squad takes the 2 speeders from camp and zoom up to the platform off one of the hills.

Of course I'm yet to see a server big enough to have this many squads let alone have them all working together...but in small games getting to the top is relatively easy. I typically try each of the above. If one fails I switch tactics and try the next.

My favorite released map is Mos Espa. It's not only the best map of the mod, it's one of the best maps I've played ever. I love the layout and the sheer beauty of the city. I love to explore the place, finding shortcuts and learning to avoid dead ends. I love the firefight between Imperials in the hills and Rebels in Watto's Junkyard. I love to fight AT-ST walkers in the streets. I love the street combat. I love speeding through the streets in a Combat Speeder. I love running around on roofs like that guy in Assassin's Creed.

My current #1 favorite map, though, is That Combined Arms Map we haven't released to you yet .

1 Endor. I like all the locations in the map, and the vehicles. It truly is a good layout.
2 Mos Espa. I really like it's location and vehicles (lol...again) and I like the explorable buildings.
3 Taloraan. I think the space battles are AWESOME, and this is just the best free-for-all space so far.
I like the rest of the maps at least as much as taloraan. I hope there are interiors to ships, that would make me cherish space battles so much more.

How would you rank the FS maps in terms of fun factor for you?

Here's my ranking:

1- Endor Strike Team: This map and its gameplay take top honors from me. This twist on the push style of gameplay is exceptionally well done and requires more strategic decisions from both teams than your average BF map. Also, I just love the probe droid. My only criticism is some of the flag capping tricks that were likely not intended by the devs and need to either be counter-able or removed, especially since they allow the capping of the imp's most critical flags.

2- Escape from Hoth: Great idea to make a map off this scenario. I'm not aware that it's been done before. While it would be nice to be able to manually control the star destroyer's turbolasers, overall an outstanding job.

3- Battle at Taloraan: I'm not familiar with this battle in Star Wars canon, but this all out space battle map has a awesome amount of potential once more players start joining the ranks. Without more than a handful of players on at a time (and players who have more tactical sense of bots for a change) it's hard to judge though. One thing that does mar the playability is the cap ship spawn bug

4 and 5-The two Tatooine maps: both these maps provide an average amount of fun for me, though some parts are more enjoyable to fight through than others. Again, I can see them becoming more enjoyable once we have numerous players and squads fighting down the narrow dusty streets. The rare memorable moments on these maps were indeed when we had a dozen or so players. When you have only 2-5 players on, it becomes a relatively fun ambush game at best and a ATST whining party at worst, particularly on the nearly empty 64 player servers with 3 walkers on 1 side and none on the other.
