Always make sure when re-doing everything , to not only un-install the previous attempts, but to also go delete the whole directory folder that contained it... in most cases would remove the electronic arts folder also. Delete them . Empty your recycle bin .
Even after uninstall , most games leave their directories intact, and these variables screw with ( taint ) new installs.
THen re-install your sequence of game, patches, mod, patches ... and re-download your patches if you cant get it to work after that. A high percentage of large downloads get corrupted during transfer or during storage. Thats microsofts fault.

OK, before i get started everything i could possibly think of is updated on my PC, even PB. I have tried to install this mod several times in every possible combination i could think of. From reading through the forums it seems that FS should be installed like this: BF2142, patch1.25, patch 1.4, FS 1.1. I have also read about and installed this way: BF2142, patch 1.25, FS 1.1, patch 1.4 .......along with other combinations. It seems that there is a bit of confusion on which way to install. (* note that outa all the times i installed, i can go into game, click on advanced with only "same mod" & "same version" checked, and i see FS servers but can't join, then getting an error telling me to "update" *) Jus wondering if someone who has the mod running correctly could write step by step instructions on the proper way to install this mod starting from scratch / vanilla BF2142 if possible. If necessary, links to the sources would definitely be appreciated.

P.S. I also read somewhere on these forums that there is a possible FS1.1 hotfix patch? Does this patch even exist?
                                                   Thank You!!
