you will need windows OS to install it i believe. but from there you can just copy the files into the right folders. i know it is possible to emulate windows on mac so maybe you could do this. also i know a lot of people have macs and want to play this mod. so a mac version of the install would boost player numbers.

Just wanted to say hi. I love this game (well I think I do, I've only played it with 6 ppl so far, lol) and Galactic Conquest was my fav FPS of all time, so I really want to get into this one. If there will be any community games I'll be there even though I'm not that awesome (gotta have cannon fodder ya know).
A community game is on every Friday, 7pmGMT on the server BF RC1.

I quit playing BF2 was because idiot teammates would run into my mines.
I got kicked from a BFV server because i booby trapped a tank.
I said, "Don't go into the tank, it's trapped!".
Then this idiot walks right up to the tank, gets in, *nuke*.
"OMG YOU TEAMKILLER!" *kick*. Sometimes the stupidity of some people scares me... -_-'

WElcome to FS and the FS forums. I also am a GC veteran Look for community games posted on the community section of the forums or general discussion, that's where the news is sually posted about them.
Question: what happens in a space battle if all the ship slots are taken up when someone spawns? Is that possible?
That doesn't really happen often, and if it did a ship would most likely spawn very shortly. And you can always jump into a Capitolship as a gunner if they are not full.

32 and 64 player Mes Espa have the ATST, and speeders of all sorts. Endor has ATST and speeder bikes as well as the probe droid.
Mos Entha doesn't have any vehicles.
The game looks bitchin'. The only complaint I have is that it's not advertised enough so there is like nobody playing. I only HAPPENED to find out about it because I typed in "star wars mod" or something in google today and caught a rumor in a forum somewhere. This could be mod of the year but I don't think anyone knows about it!
I agree, a top notch mod that isn't out there enough, a big part of this was the domain being changed I think because First Strike does not yeild this site first in google ranks anymore so it may be hard to find for new players. Be sure to publicize the mod as much as you can to attract new players and fill up servers more often!
Oh yeah and I was surprised to see that friendly personnel mines kill. I don't really care one way or the other, but one of the reasons I quit playing BF2 was because idiot teammates would run into my mines. I suggest changing this to keep a good game from being bogged down with little problems, but maybe the playerbase will be mature enough to not do dumb things like run into friendly mines. I remember the GC playerbase being pretty cool anyway.
It is frustrating at times. But oh well, who knows if it will be changed in the future or not, maybe a dev can enlighten us.

EDIT: PS -- Will there ever be support for bots? It might help the MP community to get players if the maps could use bots to fill empty slots when there are only like 4 people playing. Can BF2142 even do that?

There is a First Strike single player minimod available on these fousm somewhere, search through the stickies and you are sure to find it, also check the custom map forums for more FS_SP maps and the single player community forums for BF games.
