It goes towards server cost and upgrades and for the people actually managing the server. I would gladly pay to see this......that is only if the game offers me a certain experience. More than most of the times they do deals for a yearly contract so instead of paying over a monthly fee and adding up to X amount, they do it so you pay half of the X amount cost.
