They are the same weapon for both classes so it wouldn't make a difference.

Ive seen it to, thought it was part of the game, and the mines just timed out. Just tried it, took under 2mins 30 seconds and they exploded one after another

They have a time to live also to keep them from being spammed all the time, how long did you wait?

Yes 100% sure and more over. I even stay near them
and see them explode.

As I said in another thread, if you lay more mines after laying the ones you start with, the original ones explode. Are you 100% sure this isn't what happened to you?

it can be seen as a long-timed-detpack/proton grenade

but agreed, i think they should last at least as long as the player, who laid them out is still alive/carries his kit

So after u deploy the Av mine for a couple of minutes,
it suddenly explodes. For no reason at all! The person
who put the mine there did not die yet, or redeployed
more Av mines. I had this happen a lot of times, and it
nearly kills me in the explosion when i walk by it.
