			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Well, a stationary emplacement that shoots a proton grenade over an arc isnt that hard to do, Maybe hard to TARGET</p><p>take BF2142&#039;s railgun, add an arc, and make it stand like, 10 Meters high so it has a overview of the battlefield, and it can effectively bombard the map (with a medium-long cooldown on the weapon, to avoid spammage, maybe 8-12 seconds)</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I never realy liked artillery in battlefield, execpt for 1942. All it does in bf2 and 2142 is create lag and ennoy people, not to mention the fact that it requires no effort to operate. So unless there will be 1942 style arty Im fine with the mortar we have.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Joint Ops Typhoon Rising had a mortar for one of the kits. Wasnt too bad, brought up a sort of mini map and you had a set radius you could fire to. You were also limited to two mortar rounds to prevent mortar spamming, plus it took a few seconds for the rounds to arrive meaning you needed a spotter to guess where the targets were going to be, not where they were. </p><p>For FS though....nah.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>As for your mortar, it&#039;s a nice model, but we already have a light mortar in the mod (the HWS class&#039; Packered Mortar Gun), and I think it suffices. As for heavy artillery... maybe, maybe not. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>As im sure safe-keeper will point out, the heavy weapons class has a mortar but very few people use it for some reason. I have found it somewhat usefull on Espa, but it sucks on Endor.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Maybe you could use the squad leader map to choose areas to bombard, and for the person on the mortar, an icon on the 3D map would tell the direction and distance of the target.&nbsp; Perhaps the mortar could be a &quot;vehicle&quot;, in which it has to be &quot;entered&quot;.&nbsp; It will have a special HUD for rangefinding, and limited ammo.</p><p>Or they just make artillery vehicles...</p><p>(Edit) STARSIEGE: Tribes had a nice, but never used feature in it&#039;s gameplay.&nbsp; One guy would have a targeting laser pointed at, say, an enemy solar panel.&nbsp; Then teammates with mortars would have an icon on their HUD telling them where to aim for a direct hit.&nbsp; The only reason it flopped was there was no teamwork in Tribes, but the FS team strives for squadplay.&nbsp; If something like this could be implemented for grenade launchers, mortars, etc., it&#039;s sure to be a success.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Awesome models by the way. I think the main thing missing from most games is the ability to call in artillery, using coordinates. So, there would be a mortar crew (designated squad) with a max of like 2 players. Other squad leaders would tell the mortar crew the coordinates for the strike(using something the commander artillery map) and the mortar crew would send in the mortars. If implemented well, it would make the mortar crew a target for the other team, so they will have to find a well hid position, but close enough to be useful to their team (meaning a limited range on the mortars).</p>]]></content>
