what does you .log file say in "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\pb" (default install folder).

I just started to get PB kicks for "ignoring query" Tried updating PB manually even tried just playing 2142. Still getting kicked. Nothings changed on my comp (new programs etc) other than Vista updates. Looks like a complete reinstall?

Thanks for all the replys guys, I did a full manual re-install after trying various other things.

I haven't used Vista in months, but i think you can make punkbuster run in administration and compatibility mode. So try that if you haven't.

This happen's to me, I goto 2142 start a game pb will auto up its self, come back to fs its sorted..

means you have to update. or the update is not working with vista

I do not get a message explaining why I have been kicked it just says something like "You have been kicked from this server by Punkbuster" That is it, no more info then that.

Yeah pb works crap with vista hence my global ban fro bf2, but 2142 works for me. What kick message do you get?

im pretty sure punkbuster has a problem with vista at the moment. the only solution i have seen is to do a system restore

Hi,

I started to play a game and after about 5 minutes punkbuster kicked me, I do not know why and it will not let me back on.

I have tried a manual update, I have run the pbsvc programn and changed to run as administrator but all to no effect.

I am running Vista and am fully updated for BF2142 and FS and am really really stumped.
