Dunno what options you have for map rotation, but it would be great if you had 64 player and 16 player versions of the maps on- then if there was only a few players online, they could map vote for the smaller and vice versa.

Make sure you set the server to allow unlocks- otherwise all the kit we use will not be available.
For example- the missile launcher is an 'alt kit' of the heavy class- if unlocks are off the teams will have no dedicated anti-tank.

Ditto snipers, mortars and shotgun whores

No, there are no unlocks as such in First Strike, there are gadgets that can only be unlocked when you are in a squad to help promote teamwork, but that's about it. You have a selection of weapons you can choose from for each class but these are all freely available no matter what your rank, the ranking system has no effect in game whatsoever, you just get stats and rankings which can be viewed on this website. Hope that clears things up for you.
