Its actually a badass assault vehicle too , if you fly within a certain flight profile.
I like to take it straight up to high altitude at 1st, cause if there was any enemy air assets they usually come after you. Then the tail gunner usually wastes any pursuing craft ( if hes got any skills at all ). The ground attack segment has proven to be the most fun , as I usually spot ground activity before deciding where to start my diving attack. Reduce thrust on the way down while sighting targets with the main cannon, and if crew on board theyre also hitting stuff with their cannon. This is especially chaotic for the rebels when attacking their main hangars.
Ive managed to attack, drop off people who spawned , and rearm several times in a row using this technique and being careful.

The Lamba is actuelly very easy to fly & use, the only thing you need to think off when getting in it, is not pressing forward or you'll go to hell. When you board it, hold S (backward) to hoover in the air, then when you feel it is safe to deploy your wing's press forward. The best way to fly the lamba is in a third person perspective. You need to look out for obstacles wich might hit your wing wich you wouldn't notice in first person.

Also (some people seem to forgot this) the lamba is a mobile respawn beacon, and the best use you can get out of it is landing it at a enemy CP and getting out, leaving the lamba there for players to spawn on it, when you capture it, run back to your lamba and go for the next cp, and hope no new guy gets in first.

When u try to land, make sure u fly right, then just press s (not constantly) and use your third person view to see where u will land, the moment your wings are fully closed you will start to hover.
