Probably not, I don't think it has much to do with the lighting at all, as it is the different lods rendering as you get closer. When high in the sky[err space] it is very noticeable, but when lower at combat altitude you don't really notice it.

Sorry for the bad ObiWan reference

Anyway, I am new to this mod, but not new to the team. I used to be a beta tester for the ole "Galactic Conquest" under the screenname "The dang", ah those were the days..... Preacher, and Woodrow and the great ATAT debate (same Woodrow I assume) and Flippy Warbear a fellow beta tester and the rest of you guys, obviously the list goes on....

Anywho, I wanted to congratulate the team on a fine mod. Just as great as Galastic Conquest was, if not better (and far better than that BF2 mod regarding space aliens or something... no offense meant). But seriously, the mod is great. You fellas have some great talent (as if I didn't know from GC). You guys have to bring back that rebel corvette assault level... that was awesome. Oh and the Bespin (Cloud City) map... sweeet.

Anyway, here are some suggests I have after playing your new mod, take them with a grain of salt...

1. Gotta fix that Battle of Yavin level. I here it's related to nVidia and DX10 cards... well a lot of people have those cards so it's kinda a big deal and the pseudo-fix in the forums just really doesn't cut it as I tried it and it still doesn't work.

2. More vegetation! I don't know if BF2142 supports the same vegetation as BF2, but you gotta add some more, especially on the Endor maps. I've been to where they have filmed ROTJ and the vegetation is outrageous. At least some grass or something between the ferns. Also on the old Endor map, you guys made a pseudo canopy with sprites... bring that back.

3. Fix the light maps. I know this update fixed some of the old ones, but still there are ones that persist especially on the Tatooine buildings.

I haven't got to play a lot of the mod, but otherwise... GREAT JOB! The space maps especially are so much better than the old GC ones. I actually bought BF2142 specifically for this mod and let me tell you, I am not disappointed at all. Keep up the good work!

Surfing Doc (AKA The dang)
