I was in that battle right at the end , and saw the ending.
that 1 fight may never be repeated again .

some better grab the battle-recorder file of that one

Like the last one I played and the rebels somehow jumped points and captured the cliff trail entrance w/o having the connecting one....

Bestine is epic going up that road. Or the battle for the Market.

On 32p between Crash Site and cliffs is pretty epic as well.

The best when every squadmember has a tank on Ice Plains...those are "the moments", and we rush over the hilltop...however, I usually get out, and take care about enemy tanks on foot (emp gun + detpack to the backside and ruuun ... that is fun... .

I haven't played Bestine, as my Internet decided to go sit in a corner and fail on itself once 1.2 came out. Web loads slowly, FS runs with a ping of 300-1000+, and I'm getting steadily angrier with my inability to play the mod I've helped bring about. It's as if you've spent the whole day baking a delicious chocolate cake with a horde of children whining and griping that you're taking too long, only to end up experiencing a diarrhea straight from Hell and cursing hamsters from the nearest restroom while the cake is eaten by the dog.

At least the diarrhea is epic, Safe thought to himself amidst roaring bursts of fiery flatulence...

Sorry, I'm in a melodramatic mood today.

I was fighting in the Imperial base/city/temple on Ice Plains and while running towards the CP West Entrance or whatever it's called, with blaster fire going back and forth, I looked down and saw a small group of Rebel hover tanks slowly advance across the icy field towards the base. I know it doesn't sound epic, but it was. It was like that Call of Duty Stalingrad mission where you're climbing the hill from the Volga docks to the city and, looking back, see more Soviet transport ships cross the river towards your side.

I would have to say my most epic battles was on Espa and I ended up coming out of it with around 90 points (with only 6-10 people per team) and the FS Devs switched to my team after I killed their whole squad one two many times :-P

Also wining Eisly in 5-10 minutes with scaresly a fire fight and 6-10 people on each team.

Sitting at the Plaza with my squad and two shielded E-Webs, firing at armour and infantry pouring into the plains below from the south, was just awesome. Then inevitably the Rebs managed to get into the city from the west and we had to fight them off in an intense firefight.

Rhen Var Ice Plains has almost replaced Mos Espa as my fave map. Almost.

Epic Battles

Had an epic battle on Rhen Var: Ice Plains last night, on the 64 player map with around 10 a side, the battle seemed to go on forever (mostly due to map size being used) but it never got boring. It just felt so epic, good solid teamwork going on from both sides. Haven't got enough time to go into a lot more detail right now, but as Imperials we dominated the map, but then the Rebels managed to turn it around and actually had us down to one CP at one point and it looked like we were going to lose despite being over 100 tickets ahead. But due to that good solid teamwork and some excellent counter tactics we managed to swing it back and retake the Imperial Stronghold and it's surrounding CPs, and finished the Rebels off with only 20 tickets to spare.

So just goes to show that anything can happen. Good teamwork and solid tactics can turn it around even when things look most dire. (Even though we did manage to turn it back around again this time so things remained dire for those pesky Rebels )
