Didn't consider that. For 'purple' read crosshair-coloured then. I'm happy to do without the bounding boxes, but I'd sooner have got rid of the red icons.

i also noticed that in some cap-ship turrets the bounding boxes are still active (they have the same color as your crosshair, so they are not purple for everyone )

personally i think its more challenging in space without the boxes around the fighters, requires more skill

For a change, I piloted a Carrack cruiser on Taloraan last night. Once again there were no purple indicators (Talon called them "bounding boxes) until I moved to the top gun (F4 or F5) to see off a starfighter; in that position, the purple indicators were back!

Surely something's wrong here...

Since I patched to 1.25, I'm no longer seeing any purple occupied-starship indicators in my HUD. I know it wasn't just me because the other players on the server commented on it. I'm still seeing the red and blue capital ship icons in the 3D map, and also the red enemy-off-screen icons.

I don't know if it's deliberate, but I have thought losing the enemy-off-screen icons and retaining the purple HUD indicator would have decreased the tendency for combat to degenerate into never-ending circles of fighters...

I know the missiles have been reduced for the TIE Defender, but is it supposed to have no boost now? I only ask because one of the other players commented that his A-Wing boost was no longer working. His green boost indicator appeared but nothing happened, whereas I didn't even see a green line in my defender.

RT Talon was on the server and should be able to tell you more...
