actually I checked with the shattered planet fourms... I was perhaps auto-banned, it's lifted now.

Most often a ban is a result of trying to get back onto a server after a PunkBuster kick. Normally the ban lasts till that map changes or after that round. Its an automatic thing, nothing personal. Have you tried to manually update PB and can you join 2142 servers? Sometimes a 10 min run around a 2142 server is enough for PB to update its self automatically

so apparently it looks like I've been banned from the shattered planet server for no reason... I could join a German server just fine...

actually I could join servers after rebooting the game... but now whenever I try to join... before the map loads up I get kicked...

you can join normal 2142 servers? if you cant please check if its up to date (v1.50) and manualy update Punkbuster.
How to do that should be all over this part of the forum

This is simply BF2142s default kick message from servers, I oftern get it because my ping is too high.

actually it didn't kick me for being idle... it loaded up rather quickly... the first server I tried didn't even let me try loading... actually I reset the game and I could join again... weird...

Banned or kicked?

That's more or less the default message that comes up when you get kicked for being idle! Is the game taking ages to load up?

I'm sorta new but whenever I try to join a server, it says I've been banned by a server admin or because of teamkilling. Some of the servers I havn't even been on at all seem to ban me right as I load up. Any help here?
