I would like some evidence to that first statement. In many cases criticism compounds the problem for an individual rather than allows them to learn from it. Simply stating 'thats crap try something else' add's nothing to learn from without having the positive pointed out.

When you get a paper back in English or a test back Math class, how much is in red ink and how much is in green?  Typicaly the Red will out number the green by atleast 80% (proportionate to the grade of said document of course but in general).  Things that are found wrong or that could be done better are pointed out alot more then the things that are done right (unless they are exeptional, which is why I point out how much I like Infanty Combat).

Also saying "Ok, this time try looking at the ball" or "Keep your eye on the ball!" or if they get something right "Good, now don't get cocky kid"   You compliment your son even if he fails because you do not want him to get discuraged because, as a child, this can easly happen.  As you grow up you typicaly get less and less encuragement when you fail.  I like to think of the Devs as adults, not kids... typicaly :-P

I do feel some contempt toward some members of the Dev team for the actions they did or initiated against me.  Kinda hard to keep that out entierly, but I do actualy keep most of it out of my posts .
I would like you to point out the posts that are not about the Bann/Wipe that are pure criticism with out any mention on how (atleast I feel) it could be improved.   Thought I had been doing decently well on that stand

I have seen many number of posts that mention any possible short coming with the mod Imediatly jumped on by atleast 3-5 people saying nothing is wrong at all with the mod and that its perfict.....

The only time I have not fully accepted engine restrictions is in the boardable capital ships.   This is because Titans can move with people walking around in the front section and some down below, with little to no lag (that I have experianced).  I would think if the winding corodores and vehicles in them were removed it would be very playable.

Im sure with just a few minutes of practive you could beat Fatal1ty at any of the games he plays.   Diference being, he trains for 8 or so hours a day.  Note, not Plays, but Trains.  Both Physical and mental training along with watching matches he has played in the past to improve his performace.

I bet you, if those Olympians who win were given nothing but a pat on the back, or some pixles, they would feel just as good about them selves than if they were given the medal.   Being rewards for being good at something is the same no matter the venue.   For anyone to then take that away, for no reason, is also the same.

I have never stated I disrespect any of the team nor have I trivialized anything yall have done.  I have great respect for the mod yall have made and know that it is way past my level of programing or anything.  I am purly a designer pritty much, Ideas and thats it.  Its what I do as a job and what I do for fun.

I have only "Whinned" about the bann/wipe.  If by that you mean Enquire why it happened and imply that I feel slighted...

And yes Woodrow, your exmaples have said that you do like Feedback, but not to give to much Negative feedback or else you will punish those who are giving it....

Getting back up to the top 10 with a 3000-4000 point penalty on me and no garontee of it not happening again seems a bit tiresome and Un-Fun.

And for all the other fans out there, please don't take this to mean that we don't want to hear your views.  WE DO!  We LOVE getting feedback on everything, and most of our work has been built off the feedback of the players (first the testing team, then from the first release).  Yeah, we may not always agree and we won't always change things your way but feel free to put it down anyway, so long as it is constructive and friendly.  If it's good we're more than happy to fix the issue

If he feels so strongly that he is right and we're wrong then he's more than welcome to build his own mod to show everyone "how it's supposed to be done."  Just because he said we had to change things doesn't mean we do or will.  The real difference between him and us is we have completed a lot of very good work, and all he's done is sat in a corner whining.  If you lot think you need to win him over then feel free to keep giving him what he wants: attention.  If (like me) you don't find his comments or actions helpful to the community then just stop giving him the time of day.

When he builds his own work then he can set the rules however he likes.  Until then he just has to learn that he's a visitor here, not someone of any power or authority.  His opinion is just that, an opinion.  There are no rights, only priviledge.  We're more than happy to share our work with everyone and gain feedback from it.  But because we're the ones building it we're the ones who get to choose which views are valid and which aren't.  We're also the ones who have the skill, knowledge, and eventual responsibility to sort through all the ideas and put them into form here.  Whether he agrees with us or not it's our call, not his.  He either has to accept that or not play the mod.

That's the lesson he really needs to learn.  This is not a matter of whether something is fair or not.  But because we were not interested in treating him as if he was in charge and his views were more important than our own, especially considering the fact he has done nothing to benefit this mod before or after release, he threw a tantrum and continues to do so.  If you're going to act like a child then we will treat you like a child, end of story.

A peice of gold means absolutly nothing, its what is ment by the gold, the Idea of the thing, that means something.  Earning something is earning something.  Computer games are of no different level then any other game/sport.  Both require training and skill in specific areas.

Computer games are far different, I can practice for 5 minutes on a game and be as good as anyone else, not so in reality. As for the idea of the thing, if you had an olimpic medal taken from you for no good reason then you could complain, but you have lost meaningless pixels on a screen that nobody but you cares about. If you so desperatley need to earn a reward I advise you to make it worthwhile. Go earn a medal of bravery by saving some kids or win olimpic gold. We are all here to have fun, not listen to people like you who cry about things that never existed to begin with! Those things being PIXELS, NOT REAL ACOMPLISHMENTS

Wrong, you learn more from your mistakes then you do from your sucesses.  Thusly someone pointing out mistakes helps you learn and correct them.

If my son fails to catch a ball, I dont say "you missed, try again". He doesnt learn from that. Instead, I say "Nearly! Put your hands up and watch the ball". Now he is prepared for the next step. He has made a mistake but been given guidance. Without guidance you do not learn.

Yes you have every right to defend yourself. However, I personally feel that many of your posts have given nothing constructive to a subject. Many of those posts that you claim are to defend your position have shown arrogance and contempt. Before you go flaming me, note that I said in MY opinion and MANY of your posts. That does not mean I speak for any group, team or indiviual or on the forums, nor does it refer to every post you have made.

I'm afraid that once again you are off the mark. There are no yes men feeding ego's here. In fact more often there are clashes where one idea is dropped in favour of another. This is often because thats just what the dev team is limited to. If the answer "we're sorry its not possible in this engine" isnt good enough, then this isnt the game for you.

I myself have added many opinions to what should be done to either improve the gameplay or make it more realistic, but I cant have it my way. A game is not meant to feed an individual but a group. If the majority like it then why should it be changed to suit one lone voice?

What a sad existence you must live if you truly belive that you will never ever be happy or satisfied.  I do feel some pitty for you now.

Adapt to a situation when adapting is required.  When a wrong is done onto you, you find try to find out why it happened.   If it was without cause or you can't find out why it happend seek justice or atleast reparation for what was stolen.   Only reason I was given was that they didn't like what I said and I did, infact, think their squeezey pooh did stink (unlike many people on the forums).   That, atleast to me, is not a reason to attempt to perma ban someone from all servers and wipe their stats and perma ban their forum account/IP.

Being surounded by "Yes Men" is what leads to poor decisions, see President Bush.  Smart people can make stupid decisions some times.  If those decisions are left un-opposed and are supported by all the people around, more stupid decisions are made.

What he or she really needs to learn in order to ascend to the next level of life is to learn
that No Body gets what they want ,
No one is ever satisfied ,
No one is every truly happy.

With this in mind , you learn to realise that you take a situation and work with it , adapt.
If your momma hand fed you until you were entering high-school, then you are going to have harsh
experiences like -not getting everything you want when you want it ,  all through life.
Lastly they must learn to realise how much of an irritation and nusance to others around them.
In the end they only leave a spot of squeezey pooh on the sidewalk.

I have, as far as I can tell, only given constructfull critizisim.  I do not go on about the parts of the game that I like in great detail as I don't see much point in ego stroaking for the sake of ego stroaking for the Devs of any game/mod.  I have stated how much I love the Infantry combat and particularly the push maps that are two-sided.   Past that mention of the positives I go into what I find lacking, same as I have done in the 30 or so Betas/Alphas for full production games I have participated in.  I then suggest ways to fix the problem or on new features untill given a reason why said suggestions would not work, same as I do when talking and making suggestions to the Dev of the Browser game I casualy assist in development of (generating Ideas and formulas).

If I was an attention seeker I woul have made several new threads on insignificant things or on the banning.  Instead I kept asking for an email I could use to contact privatly on the issue and was only meet with more banns.

I was not drawn by stats as I have been watching and anticipating this mod since it had originaly been announced for BF2.  Its one of the main reasons I had bought BF2 and 2142 the day they came out (to get used to the feel of the game which typicaly translates into the mod).  Kinda had to be playing for stats when you played the game more when their were no stats :-P

Never was I told that it was possible to Un-wipe stats, so I assumed it was an impossiblity.  Somehow I disbeleved a snapshot of my stats prior to the wipe was taken and all was lost, just as you loose everything on a drive after formatation.

Belive you were here for that.  Basicaly I pointed out some of what I felt were short comings of the game in a game where devs (Woodrow and others) were present.  It had nothing to do with 1.2 Krowmeat.
