To set windowed mode right click on your shortcut and press "properties."  change the "windowed 1" flag at the end of hte line to "windowed 0" and Voila!  Windowed mode is also great for load times or downtimes-you can browse the internets and chat on IM while you wait.  I can also assure everyone there's no more lag in windowed mode than fullscreen.

But now i can play it.
my solution, load and start anyother map, press (left) alt touche =whithout 3d map icones,
leave this map and load directli Yavin.
you can play, but no 3d icone and no orders bouton during the game or welcone crash.

You don't even have to do that, just load Death Star normally, and press Alt+Tab at the same time you click "join game". Then Alt+Tab back to the game. Works fine with Vista SP1+8800GT.

I think this should be included to the map description until it gets fixed.

I'd just like to have a decent game on a North American server, to be honest.  I can't F'ing stand playing on Rogue Tribe, it's like a slideshow with a ping of >150.  I realize it's fine for the UK and europe, but goddamnit it is frustrating that that is the only populated server.

It's unplayable.

Hop on a US server mate and try and get it rolling. I can't imagine you being the only that has this issue.

We just hop on early to get our server going and we have a fair share of members that play the game. That means there will allways be players on. But try and get a larger server rolling, Maybe we will see some bigger maps being played.

Lots of new faces on as well. Looks like the PC Gamer piece has done a bit of good.
