Hi all,

Cheers for the advice, I thought the client and install 1.2 was the latest version. Patched to 1.25 today and worked straight away, also saw alot more servers which might be the problem others are having.
I have been looking for a new replacement for BF2142 but nothing did multiplayer as well, untill now.

I played a few rounds and the grin got bigger and bigger. I play BF2142 with a group on Thursdays and I have got them to download FS now. Someones put a 10 min utube vid on showing off your work, so I point them to that as a reference.

I'm truely in awe, great work. Had a thought also, titan matches will they be stardestoyers? and lightsavers? (bit tricky that one, I think).

Again, great job. I will do my best to spread the work in the UK.

You've Installed FS to 1.25? Also try a reboot. You don't need Northern Strike btw. Does 2142 load and play ok?

Nope you dont need NS to play FS.

One thing you could try is clearing the cache in your 2142 folder.

Go to My documents > Bf2142 > mods > then delete the FS folder and see if that helps at all.

I bought the latest copy of PC Gamer and saw the mod in there. I have installed it and it starts all ok, but I get the same error as bloodynoob above. I'm running version 1.5 on the system and have tried multiple other FirstStrike servers, most empty, and still no joy.

Do I need the Northern Strike pack installed?

what server did you choose? Perhaps it's because of the server.

that servers what i did play on normal bf 2142

edit: i chouse all servers but still its crashing after load of map !

ihave bf 2142 v 1.50 and fs 1.25 i try to join server but then it retourns to server list and....
