ok problem solved, I feel dumb now but all I had to was run it as an admin (I have Vista)

you could have firewall or av issues, try shutting any AV or firewall off completely, then test it out so you can at least eliminate those variables from your search.

I downloaded all the files on the page you sent me too, and put them in my pb folder, but still nothing.

Before it kicks me it says "service communication failure - punkbstrA.exe" if that helps.

It could be other things running in the background also that punkbuster doesn't like. Daemon tools, various game cam recording software, even my dictionary/thesaurus has upset punkbuster before. Shut down any programs you're not currently using while playing. If you are experienced enough with Windows, then press ctrl-alt-del and shut down anything you don't actually need.

Hmm... You could try updating your punkbuster. This could be caused from your punkbuster client not updating itself like it should be.

Follow the instructions "for players" and see if that helps, I cannot guarantee that this will fix your problem, i am just throwing it out there

It just says "You have been kicked from the server by PunkBuster."

This happens on a number of servers I go on

Hi, I just got this mod today and hope to enjoy it, but every time I get on a server I get booted by something called punkbuster? I heard it's some anti-cheating thing, but I'm not a cheater!

Any help would be great.
