I've also tried setting textures to Low, with no effect.

Running DxDiag now for system specs...

Edit: running in windowed mode has no effect on the CTD

Desktop with XP. I can attempt to run windowed mode tonight (although I despise the lack of immersion and the slight drop in FPS.)

I cleared my BF cache, as FS Imperial suggested in IRC (which didn't work).

Yeah, he came onto IRC.

One thing I don't think was mentioned from IRC was trying to run windowed mode. (Put +Fullscreen1 to +Fullscreen0 in the shortcut, I think). That sorted out someone else I know who had the same problem.

best thing you can do, is do a full game re-install and total profile wipe , if it persists , give us your DX DIAG . Since no one answered his post , Im being helpful. Are you running a laptop? Vista or XP ?

Theres all sorts of info we require to troubleshoot any specific problem.

I've had no issues with any of the other new maps recently, except for the maps on Rhen Var. I recently installed 1.2 and used the 1.2 to 1.3 patch for instalation.

The map loads fully like it will in any other game, but when I get to the "Verifying information" section BF2142 fully closes and returns me to my desktop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: The Ice Plains are doing the same as the facility. This is getting really old fast.
