Most BF2142 Servers check for manipulated Client Files, so you will get a kick and (possible) a ban for cheating with modified Client Files.

The best Way to see your Buddies as Stormtroopers:
Promote First Strike & the First Strike Singleplayermod

The Singleplayermod works also for COOP and has Camp Gibraltar as Map, ideal to learn First Strike.
But playing First Strike with 64 Players is still the real thing

If you do a little messing around with the files you can alter the vehicle spawns to your liking, just back up everything you change, possibly make your own minimod for you and your friend... not that hard to figre out the simple stuff, check out bfeditor.org.

the 2142 gunships are the ONLY vehicle that appears in the minimod from vanilla. Sry

Ask danfun.. he has a vid of himself messing around in 2142 gunships as a stormtrooper (no parachute) so it may be possible with FS Single Player mini mod.

No, it is not like the troopers in FS are just a skin, they have different kit etc, as this is a full conversion. So as of right now at any rate there is no facility to play with FS Star Wars character models in vanilla BF2142.

Yes and no. By downloading the Single-player mod, I believe you can play regular BF2142 maps, in co-op, but I think it's First Strike materials only then, no BF2142 vehicles or anything. I could be wrong, though.

The mod looks amazing, but the only screens i'm seeing is one's of the First Strike maps. Does this download also allow me to play on my favorite 2142 servers with just the character models? If not, is there a way i can? I would love to gun down stormtroopers with my bud in a gunship. Thanks a ton.
