The version number is bugged, it shows 1.2 even if you have 1.3 installed.

Right, i'll try that

edit:ooo , wow.. went to it and it read my FS as 1.2, guess when i enabled virus scan it deleted 1.3.
Evenmore edits: Seems the installer couldnt find 1.2, so i might be stuck installing the full client 1.3.

You start up vannila then i think you go into the community tabs the there should be something in there.Another list of games and you would hit the on that says First Strike.

Have you tried starting First Strike from vanilla?

I tried the old launcher, didnt work and yes i'm up to date on the game. So, can ya think of anything else that might be the problem?

That happens to me, as well, whenever I use the launcher. Have you tried just using the "old-fashioned" way of starting FS? I'm sure just re-installing the launcher would fix it, but I'm just too lazy at the moment.

It sounds like you have the wrong version of the mod installed. Have you updated to 1.3? Does it work if you try start a map under Mulitplayer -> Local Game?

Right, it appears whenever i log onto a server, and attempt to load it goes black and i get the error "First strike has encountered a problem and needs to close". Thats all i get, dont know why this is happening because this hasnt happened before. I'm useing the luncher like many folk are.
