Best time to play is on the weekend, when the Community games are going. Saturday's Game would be at 4pm your time and Sundays would be 2pm your time.

i'm downloading 1.4 now. i haven't played first strike since version 1.2, so i'm excited. it's sunday so hopefully there's going to be a lot of people playing this afternoon and tonight.

This Friday (yesturday) we had over 25 players online at 4:30pm CST - but it quickly faded to less than 8 by 7:30pm and by 9:00 it was done... down to 3

Bingo! Everyone is free to join either. However, the Saturday game is usually much more populated. But word is slowly spreading throughout the States, so maybe soon the Friday game will have a few more players.

Remember that the CG lasts for a few hours. You don't have to be there at the very start you can easy jump on at any time.

It's not so much the lag... even pinging 160, the game runs pretty smoothly. It's because when Europe is playing on Saturday night, it's the middle of the day here in the USA... and on our Saturday night, you're already in early Sunday morning...

I may jump on this afternoon to check it out!

As far as I understand, the Friday one is for residents of the Americas and the Saturday one is for residents of Europe.

Having said that, the only reason why they're split up like this is because of lag issues - Americans experienced lag when playing on the Europe-based (as far as I know) DS server and wanted their own CG where they could play with less lag. So if you are American and want to, and can, join the Saturday one, please do .

Its on Fridays every week, there is also the other CG on a saturday every weekend at 9PM GMT, 4PM EST.

Thought I'd post a reminder, as I almost forgot myself. NORTH AMERICAN COMMUNITY GAME tonight! Be there, or B².

BTW, for all the new players out there.. Don't be discouraged if you see empty servers. Jump on the DS server and hang out for awhile, even if by yourself. You will get to know the maps better when no one is shooting you and others will see you on and want to join as well. That old rule applies: "If you populate it, they will come"

As for map rotation for the CG, whatever you guys already have setup will be fine. I'm probably not going to be on until late, if at all. I'm feeling kinda crappy all of a sudden. Hope it's not that old devil flu going around

Lol sure no problem. Any wishes concerning maps? I have the normal rotation on. We'd first have to get everyone from Mandrake to DS. Wish we could somehow contact Mandrake about their server settings. They had something wrong with their settings, I wouldn't play there. Same thing with Les Viperes.

SamZi has graciously offered the use of DS server for our CG tonight. So everyone pile on the DS server and let's get it on!

Just an update for all regarding the Rogue Tribe server. We have had some technical issues that are becoming a P.I.A. to resolve, so the CG for tonight is going to need a different server. Some of the major issues we are experienceing are: laying a prox mine CTD's EVERYone, heavy weapons shield disappears upon deployment, yada-yada-yada... It seems to play just fine otherwise. Our resident guru is working on the problem, but as this is all Greek to me, I don't know when it will be fixed.

Sorry all! I'll keep everyone updated as to when it will be fixed. Hope to see you all tonight!
