Some cracking games on the RT server tonight, it was full of so called Noobs at one point, but what was really satisfying was seeing how over the course of the evening they became honed into a not half bad fighting force as they learned how all the kits functioned, and learned the map layouts etc.

Agreed. FS is also good at encouraging what was known in concept stages as "subconscious teamwork" - withering fire, limited equipment and weapons available only to squad members, push mode, etc. You may not be a teamwork player, but there's a chance you will end up fighting with your teammates as part of the team.

Just goes to show you don't have to wait for the CG at the weekend for epic battles. Get your butts onto a server and wait a few minutes and it will soon become populated. More of this please, heh, and the new maps haven't even come out yet.

Now that 1.4 is out, you can get on any day and find 20+ people on .

Some cracking games on the RT server tonight, it was full of so called Noobs at one point, but what was really satisfying was seeing how over the course of the evening they became honed into a not half bad fighting force as they learned how all the kits functioned, and learned the map layouts etc. By the end of the evening we have a few vet players on one side, and the other team still managed to beat us, and all the games were good solid battles, except for one on 16 player Mos Espa that was almost over before a shot had been fired, but the next round made up for it with an epic battle around the Slave Quarters.

We had a steady stream of people coming and going which resulted in around 8 a side for most of the night, and most of the battles were truely epic including some cracking rounds of Taloraan, and a Rhen Var: Ice Plains round that seemed to go on forever, but never ceased to be fun.
