i think the last drivers that worked properly were the 177.83 drivers.i have one of the lastest drivers and to get around any graphical errors i turn off AA in game and force it in Nvidia control panel

Yeah, I have the latest ones that came out last month. Do you happen to know which ones don't upset 2142 and FS?

This is rather difficult to describe, and unfortunately I don't have any screenshots. Every time I start a map the entire screen is opaque; it's like some sort of liquid has splashed across the screen. And no, I have not spilt or smeared anything on my monitor. I'm running a dual core with a Geforce 8800 GT. Any suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated.
