2) Search for drivers for whatever GFX card and operating system you have. Download any driver below version 178, probably something like 177.XX

3) Uninstall your current GFX drivers

4) Install the new ones

i did try this but it doesn't work - i mean there are no graphical glitches but the lines are still jagged even with AAx8

I have these weird blocks all over the screen. I try to redo my shaders, maybe that fixes it.

A makeshift solution found by a play (think it was UWKF Johnloke) was to turn off Anti Alliasing ingame, and force it through ur NVIDIA Control Panel.
