If your update never finishes, you're not going to be able to get in. The best thing I can recommend to you is reinstall FS and give it a try again. If that doesn't work still, it seems like something is blocking the patcher. Overly-strict anti-virus perhaps?

Now i have been trying stuff a hole load of times.
I checked some different Settings, one time i got to load the Map and at least see the "Join" Button, before i got kicked out with the Message: "cant join with Modified stuff..etc".
With the same Settings i started a Single Player Game, it send me back to Desktop like before.

Yep thats the one on here.
About my Firewall, nothing blocked there.
I dont know what it could be, checked literally everything.

Hmm yeah something's not right there. If you go to Help->About, what version of the launcher does it say you have? The current is 0.0.7.9

I Checked the Folder, fsbuild_1001.zip to fsbuild_1003.zip (and an fstemp.zip) in there.

The log says:

Hm. Sounds like it's having trouble updating correctly. Even though you downloaded 1.4 from the site, with the new Launcher we're continually updating the game so that we can fix any problems as soon as they arise.

If you go to your Battlefield 2142 folder (usually C:\Program files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\ or similar) and then to the Mods folder, do you have any fsbuild_XXXX.zip files in there? We are currently at build 1003, which means that if you downloaded the full install, and if the Launcher succesfully downloaded the patches, you should have fsbuild_1001 to 1003 in your mods folder.

If the files are not there, please make sure that the Launcher has access to internet, your firewall might be blocking it. If you're still having problems, open the Launcher and go to File->Check for updates, and post the entire log here.

It says 1000, but i thought i'm up to date, got it straight from the Site here and didnt had an Old Version or anything on my drive.

And if i Launch the Game the launcher spits this out:

Maybe this is something of Interrest, maybe its the way its meant to be, i dont know^^.
Only thing that i saw was the word "Error" in it.

This actually sounds like a bad install/update. We had similar things if we were not uptodate with our tester builds and tried to join a map.

Can you both go into the launcher, check out File -> Preferences and tell us what version it says you have?

I have got the same Problem here.
I can Launch the Game (via Launcher), add a new Profile, get my Options done and even take a look for Servers.
As i join, it loads the hole stuff, but at the End it puts me back on my Desktop, everything left there is the Launcher.
No Error Message or anything else.

I've tried a few things, create a new Profile, delete the Cache (in C:\Documents...\Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike\cache), Restart, Reinstall.

Nothing seems to work, even though i have played FS some time ago, just feld like i need to get back to Star Wars around X-Mas (FS is the first Choice).
Would be great if anyone knew how to fix or handle this.

Ugh I love this mod so much but when I seem to load any game any map the deploy button lights up then my system crashes the program and it says I have to end process. Any known fixes on this...
