I'm having the same problem as Eshen. 0.0.6.5 is the only version of the launcher that will run correctly if I disconnect from the internet to stop it updating itself. 0.0.7.1 and above keeps telling me I need to install battlefield 2142. I've tried everything to get it to work with vista but it just doesn't work. Looks like I'm going t have to install xp on a spare hard drive and see if that works.

I completly uninstalled bf2142, and uninstalled FSmod. I reinstalled BF2142 in a new direcotry, installed patch 1.5, installed first strike, then tried to run the launcher, and it says I have to have bf2142 installed first. So I installed northernstrike, then patched 1.5 again. Still says the same thing.

When I try to run the game from bf2142 custom games, it showed one serverr and when I tried to join the game, it kicked me for custom content.

Btw, my BF2142 version is the normal dvd I've had since it came out. Northernstrike is a digital download.

I had a modified content error and another one were i would start FS up and it would just crash and say First Strike.exe is not working and it seems to have been fixed bye turning off User Account Control for Vista.

I am having the same problem, just got it, and i have the original dvd when it came out and digital download of the northernstrike mod. All patched 1.5 previously

I have Deluxe edition fully updated
I just got the 1.4 last night first time playing, after 2-3 hours of troubleshooting and following directions I finally got into a server but today its different everything is updated as far as I know but before i even get to the customization\spawn map, the game crashes

I even did the properties shortcut target thing to set it to my resolution for yavin fix it worked a bit for LAN Mode got me farther into loading process to where i can see the spawn map but it crashes me

EDIT
I also did the arguments Widescreen 1 version is also at 1005

Now like others cant seem to play 2142 tried following instructions for renaming, and running\exiting FS Didn't work at all

What version of Battlefield 2142 do you have? Is it the normal, deluxe or digital distribution?

I just downloaded and installed FS 1.4. I already had BF2142 and NS installed and patched to version 1.5. After installing FS I attempted to run the mod by opening the FS Launcher. When I did this a dialog box popped up saying, "In order to play First Strike, you must have Battlefield 2142 installed."

I installed First strike to my BF2142 folder, and was able to locate the first strike folders in the mods folder and also in my ProgramFilesx86 directory.

Suggestions?

Edit: I was able to start the mod from the custom games section, but cannot play on any servers.
