With my Vistax64 and BF2142 I actually got some memory problems. I found a guide on how to fix it using a program called XFF Explporer, I'll look for the guide when I get home.

Red, the only problem i ever had with bf2142 with vista 64 was memory allocation.
Used to get crash to desktop with an error message saying something like.. Error xxxx amount of memory does not seem sane.
If any of you have or are having this problem read below.

- Error on game load "Memory.dll : sanity check : block size 246157300 ( 234.75MB ) doesn't seem sane", or similar Memory sanity check insane error.
There are several steps to try to resolve this apart from checking your RAM isn't dodgy
(a) Try clearing your page file on shutdown by following this M$ article here:

(b) Try resetting your Pagefile. The error can be due to a corruption of the Pagefile, although this should have been cleared by (a), it may be recurring due to fragmentation. Make a note of the original Windows Pagefile size, set it to 0, then reset it back to the original size.
Every so often GrmRprRG runs a little utility called PageDefrag to make sure there's no fragmentation of his PageFile. You can get it from MS at:

(c) Make sure you have the latest motherboard drivers for your SATA drive (used to be a major issue with BF2).
(d) Reinstall Windows and have a clean install of BF2142. Its quicker than extended troubleshooting if the above fixes didn't work.
If you have two harddrives, install Windows afresh onto your spare drive, and then copy the new BF2142 install back onto the other HD with the problem (you could use an external USB drive for copying the game over if you don't want to fiddle with master / slave jumpers on the drives). Also copy the BF2142 folder in My documents.
All should be ok now.

Resolves Memory sanity check doesn't seem sane error.

My system specs are

Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit)
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33GHz
6GB RAM
GeForce 9500GS
DirectX 10

I'm using the BF2142 Deluxe Edition on version 1.5.

I have a feeling it may be the 64 bit part. Ive heard that some games have a problem running with a 64 bit system.

He is saying he is getting the Emulation Software detected error message when trying to luanch through the launcher, but not via launching via mods tab ingame.

We currently have no idea what is causing these emulation software messages to appear. I've tried replicating the conditions that set some of them up myself and got no messages. Once we figure out, I'm sure our coders will work as fast as they can to fix the problem.

Any information you can give us on the your operating system of the version of BF2142 that you bought, along with possibly hardware specs, would help us out alot.

wat errors are you getting red?
cause the way you say it, its like you just not seeing the servers.
got to the advanced tab and turn stuff off there. (should be easy to spot what)

I just bought 2142 today, and was hoping to play this mod. But ever since I installed the game I, along with many others, have had that error. I found that .exe fix and now i can at least play 2142, but I still can't use this mod. Ive tried the Daemon tools + YASU trick but it still comes up when opening through the launcher. I can get into the mod by going through the 2142 menu community>custom games>first strike, but since its not through the launcher it won't allow me to play on servers. Anyone have any ideas?

Had the same problem,
ironically, it is fixed by installing emulation software, crazy, I know:

install and run demon tools 4.30.3 from here:

Hi!
I`m new at this forum so hello to everyone!
Awesome mod guys i`m a big Star Wars fan and i can`t wait to play this greate mod(i hope it works)!!! THX!!!!!!

I buy BF2142 today only to play this mod.
I have install the Bf and patch 1.5.
Run the game(BF2142) and it says that there is a conflict with some emulator, but there is no emulator on my PC.lol
I search in many forums and find some guy with the same problem and he have send the error log to Securom and they prog. a new exe for the game that works without errors(he send the error log to EA to but they dont give a comment).
I have install that exe and the game was running.
Now i install the FS1.4 and the same error(conflict with some emulator).
I think its the same problem with the securom, guys with the same problem have all the delux version of BF2142 and the 1.5 patch.
I hope you can help us to get this awesome mod started.
I have windows vista 64bit on my sys. and the version of Bf2142 was the delux version.
