Update: I was playing on the Community Game Night server & the Rhen Var Ice Plains & Imperial Convoy Raid maps work but I CTD on loading Escape From Hoth, which is odd since it is one of the older maps. Battle of Ryloth, Bandomeer, Tatooine Bestine & Null Sensor Station still CTD.

Apple 22" widescreen ADC converted to DVI, supports up to 1600x1024, but I use 1440x900 in game.

What kind of monitor do you have? What resolution do you use?

I have +widescreen 1 in the preferences. I use an Intel P4 3.4Ghz, 2gb system ram, ATI X850 PCI Express video card. Downloaded PBsetup to manually update punkbuster, no change.

I would strongly advise testing your cpu then making sure its up to date

try downloading the latest version of fs from another mirror.
btu before you do: what GPU do you have?
install bf2142 update. install fs, manauly update punkbuster

Have you added anything in the launcher's arguments field in preferences? Like "+widescreen 1" or "+fullscreen 1"?

I uninstalled again & made sure to delete the cache folders located in the documents directory. The same maps still crash after reinstall.

when you uinstalled, did you delete the cache in c:\Users\\Documents\Battlefield 2142
think the mod update did the himself. but you can alwats make sure by just deleting the entire battlefield 2142 folder there.

I uninstalled bf2142 & FS, then installed bf2142 to 1.5, then FS to current 1.4 full & Lok Wastelands still crashes to desktop.

Terminatorbart, someone else had that problem of one map and they had to reinstall the mod.

I also get crash to desktop, but only on certain maps. It seems the newer maps crash. I have all the current versions of the mod, build, launcher & bf2142. Running through the launcher, I crash on deploy on lok wastlands, rhen var research labs & rhen var ice plains. I haven't tested the other new maps, but the older maps run fine. Running XP home, P4 3.4ghz.
