I think the next day we might make official is the Friday US friendly timed unofficial CG, one step at a time eh?. But if you want games tonight the RT boys will be around, and I'm sure everyone will be able to get the DS server populated in no time.

I'd also like to apologise for not having the server setup in time. I misread the post and thought the sunday CG's started at 8GMT, not 7. It also didn't help that the server had crashed with us unaware shortly before the CG was due to start. Thanks to the RSF for being a good sport and turning off their populated server to get everyone over to DSGaming for the CG

Good turnout and very good games. we need a news post telling everyone to get ingame at some time each day

Aye, it was a good result this weekend, thanks everyone who turned up to support the new Sunday Community Game. And as has been said earlier it was a really good turn out for such short notice. I think this definitely goes to show that if we give you guys a time and a place where you can be assured a good well populated game, you will come. So thanks again for the support, and I think we can look forward to more of the same in the future. Hope everyone enjoyed it.

We change the maps around a lot, only a few maps get played more often as they are more popular and the sort of backbone of the rotation. On saturday we got to taloraan and the maps in rotation after that were at the beginning of the rotation today along with some added maps. Yesterday we had Ice Plains on and it was nice to play it for a change even though it's one of my least favorite maps. As I said, let us know if there are certain maps that you feel don't get played enough or ones that get played too often.

I thought it went really well. It was fun. I wish there was more maps though. I thought it was for people who couldn't make it on Saturday. But if we only put on set of maps for each CG people are going to get stuck playing the same maps.

The sunday CG turned out to be a success! It started out a little slow with about 20 players but soon got to 30+ and lasted for about 4 hours. Pretty well done for such short notice. Should get to 40 players like we get on saturdays within a few weeks once the word spreads.

It's now up to the community to support the CG's and populate servers on other days to keep this fantastic mod going! Don't be discouraged by low numbers during the week, just get your asses on a server some time in the evening (18-21 GMT seem to be the most busy hours) and have a bit of patience and the players will come. Also, use Game Monitor to quickly check for players.

Both the saturday and sunday community games are hosted on DSgaming.net. Feel free to post your map wishes, ideas and feedback concerning any CG on the forum.

And don't forget about the friday's currently unofficial CG for North-American players!
