Reinstalled 2142 with full 1.5 patch. Installed FS 1.4 and updater did the rest. All sorted now.

Correct, though if it doesn't work then I'd recommend reinstall 2142 as well, as shaders may have got corrupted at some point (or seeing someone for correct shaders)

Some may have to reinstall, ultimately though everyone from a fresh install should work, which is the goal. Sorry for any inconvenience it causes.

Who's having problems? Got the modified content error for the first time with this update. Downloading FS 1.4 now ready for a reinstall
