GUYS! some cards dont like some stuff in most maps. i got into the battlefield heroes beta and just ONE map does the same thing.. BUT when i turn the grafics down to low it dousnt crash.. i got the same thing with first-strike....
turn your grafics down to LOW everthing down to LOW! and all maps should run without a single crash. hope this helps!

I have the crashing problem. The following maps crash to desktop on deploy when on any server or locally: null_sensor_station, lok_wastelands, battle_of_ryloth, endor_strike_team, bandomeer_refinery_assault, tatooine_bestine, escape_from_hoth, rhen_var_research_facility.

Before on previous mod versions, I used to be able to play on endor_strike_team & escape_from_hoth, but with 1.4 I cannot.

The following maps do work: imperial_convoy_raid, rhen_var_ice_plains, battle_of_taloraan, encounter_at_mos_entha, battle_of_yavin, endor_clearing, tatooine_mosespa.

My system is a P4 3.4ghz/2gb ram/80gb hdd/ATI X850 PCI Express, Windows XP Home SP2. Monitor is a 22" widescreen DVI. The launcher "+widescreen 1" has no affect on whether it crashes or not. I tried all of the suggested solutions for other peoples' issues & still can't run those maps. I uninstalled BF2142, FS mod & launcher. Cleared the my documents mod caches & flushed the registry of any BF2142 & FirstStrike references. Reinstalled BF2142, patched 1.5 full; installed FS 1.4 full, updated launcher to .8 & FS to 1008. Still nothing. One thing I never got was a modified content error like other people. Very confusing, I can't play 8 of the 15 maps.

PunkBuster has also been tested & manually updated with no change in results.

me too. When switching to FS it says not supported"" where the Join would be on vanilla. I am running an AMD Athlon xp 3000+ / 2GB RAM / BFG Nvidia 6600 256 mb AGP with the March 3 drivers. Couldnt see maps untill I went into not supported (single player) map and when I updated servers I could see alot of servers, but all were empty. I guess people are still playing the old version, like when all patches come out... Wondering if I should pay for Northern Strike or buy the deluxe version that comes with it for 20 bucks. I was waiting for FS to be available for people with 1.5 so I could switch back and forth. Now if I could find a server and load a map... There was one server and only 2 players there. When I tried to join I CTD.... Mabey Ill have to wait Good job though sounds like its gonna be alot of fun. PoE is another mod Ive tried. Amazing work.

Thats where I tried first was DSGaming, while it was on Ren Var, would always crashing after the deploying bar got done. I can also try the roguetribe server if you want.

EDIT: Also this happens on different server I connected to 5 servers, 3 of them made me crash.

Yeah, try connecting to the DSGaming.net server or the RogueTribe.com server, those are the only 2 I can gurantee to be up to date at this time. If you crash while joining either of those, post back.

Well I just downloaded the Full FS 1.4 and and did a fresh install of BF 2142 with the 1.5 Update. My Version is 1008 according to the preferences in the launcher. I am running Win XP SP3 with a P4 3.4 GHz, 4GBs of ram and a 256MB Radeon 9800 pro. Anyways as the title suggests some maps crash when loading, Ren Var is one of them. Other maps load just fine but crashing happens more often then not. Is there anything I can do besides reinstalling?
