I forgot to mention, First Strike crashes on start up if I use the launcher. It might be because of the changes I have made. Could someone send me the link on FS launcher information?

By the way, what are force points? Are they like reputation?

did you use the launcher to launche FS ?
The launcher has a special option for widescreen (Preferences / Widescreen), look at the sticky thread.

The FS launcher will open a seperate window, has some info in the middle, and a luanch button on hte bottom.

If you need to add resolution/widescreen stuff you have to click file>preferences and do so in there.

You can't use BF2142.exe, you must go through the launcher. Any params you want to set you can set in the Arguments field in the launchers preferences.

Nope, just crashed again when I went to multiplayer.

Some more info:

As I am not using non-vanilla resolutions, I have to set my target to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +widescreen 1 +modPath mods\FirstStrike.
If I do not do this, the game crashes on all mods, this one included, as well as Battlefield 2142 itself.

Don't know if that helps at all.

When you reinstalled, did you reinstall frm 2142, or just FS?
Does 2142 still work?

I think you might have a corrupt download.

To fix this, go to your 2142 mods folder.

C:/Program Files/Electronic arts/battlefield2142/mods

In here you will see lots of .rar files

these are the FS builds. Delete all the builds, and FS.

Then run the 1.4 installer, and re-update. I hope you still have the FS1.4 installer so you down have to redownload it.

Update to 1.40, then an incremental to 1.50

First let's get a few things checked...

You are starting with the FS launcher?

Have you tried reinstalling?

What order have you installed your BF2142 files up until FS1.4?

What other 2142 mods do you have installed, just curious, one might conflict, though I have never heard of this happening before, most people do not have more than 1 2142 mod since they are hardly any out there.

Hey all, first post on the forums. Shame it had to be about a problem...

Anyway, I just added First Strike to my list of Mods for BF 2142. Very excited to play it, I went straight to [Multiplayer], game crashed as soon as I clicked on it. Same happens with single player, if that is any help.

System Model: Studio XPS 435MT
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 4086MB RAM
