You sure it's a working server you're joining? 3 known working servers are: RSF 16p Server, RougeTribe.com and BlackIntel.org

If you are crashing on those servers, try the following:

Try deleting FirstStrike.exe in your install folder. Start your launcher again, try to play the game.

Failing that, delete *all* the builds this time, in your 2142 install folder/mods. Start the launcher, go to file -> Preferences, set version to "1000" hit apply, then okay. Click launch, wait for the updating to finish, attempt to join one of the working servers from up the top of this post.

Failing *that*, go to your 2142 install folder /mods and delete the "First Strike" folder. Reinstall First Strike.

Only when I hit Deploy - doesn't matter the map. Not random, but like clockwork... Deploy = CRASH.

CTD when? Always on a certain map. Always when you first start? Random times when Deploy appears?

If the latter, crashes will happen always, until someone fixes the launcher.

I'm getting CTD again?... here's what is says about the error... hope it helps with any potential fix on the devel's end...

I'll do the cache clear again - seemed to work last time...

Thats your install folder. Whats the version number in the launcher? File -> Preferences should tell you. It is odd that the launcher isn't updating for you.

Run the launcher, File -> Check For Updates. If it doesn't detect anything, check your firewall settings to make sure it isn't blocking the launcher, or you can reinstall the launcher seperately from here: Clicky!.

It is quite small and installs itself quick.

If updating from a reinstalled launcher doesn't work, I'm afraid the only thing left is really to reinstall FS.

Where do I find this install folder? I'm on Vista 64 and I see all the folders up to 1010 under "Program Files(x86)/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/mods/FirstStrike/(builds 1001 - 1010)

Other than that, that's it...

Hate to reinstall... help.

Navigate to your BF2142 install folder. Delete the file called Fsbuild_1011.zip and fsbuild_1012.zip

Open your FS Launcher, go to File -> Prefences and set "Version" to either 1010 or 1000, hit apply, then update your game normally. That should work.

Hi guys - launched today and am now experiencing a crash to desktop on launch. The Launcher downloaded/installed an update... now I can't play

Noticed that the "server" files for battle of yavin failed to install during the update.

I run Vista64 on a Dell 730x, 6GBram, Intel i7965XE, 2x GTX285SLI...

HELP! - I really wanted to play this weekend....
