First it's good for newbies to have a map with bot support and the possibility to train space combat !

So, feedback:
The hangar problem should be easy to fix:
Let the TIEs spawn over the surface of the Deathstar, like the X-Wings and Y-Wings do, maybe a little lower.
If it isn't possible to use different Spawnpoints in Singleplayer / Coop, make a map called "Yavin Coop Training".

The Rebell bots also don't use the Torps against the Towers. Making the Torps Heatseakers like in BF2 an putting a heatsorce on each tower should work to fix it.
Putting Heatsources on Turbolaser Turrets would be also a good idea, but can also lead to confusion. Idea -> BF 2 has two different kind of heatseakers: Ground and air.
Make the Towers "ground" targets and arm the Y-Wings with "ground" Torps.
Make the Turbolaser Turrets "air" targets and arm the X-Wings with "air" Torps.

Also the Rebell Bots sometimes ram the Towers. Is there a setting to make them envade sooner ?

To give the Bots Orders you must be Squadleader.
If you fly with mouse and keyboard it's not difficult to set orders:
Aim at the CPs Icon (so it's marked yellow), press T and press "Give Order"
As commander you can select the squads with the Mousewheel while pressing T

I don't know if the Bots react if you use the Commonrose for calling backup, probatly not.

If you fly with Joystick it is more complicated.
You must asign the Squad-Rose to a Joystick button, and then use an editior to edit the controls.con so you can use your trigger to press the "Give Order" field.

In the sub section:
ControlMap.create defaultGameControlMap

search for:
ControlMap.addButtonToTriggerMapping c_GIOk IDFMouse IDButton_0 0 0

and add below of it:
ControlMap.addButtonToTriggerMapping c_GIOk IDFGameController_0 IDButton_0 0 1

If you want to use the joystick in the commonroses search in the same section for:
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_GIMouseLookX IDFMouse IDAxis_0 0 0
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_GIMouseLookY IDFMouse IDAxis_1 0 0

and add below of each line the matching joystick axis:
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_GIMouseLookX IDFGameController_0 IDAxis_0 0 1

ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_GIMouseLookY IDFGameController_0 IDAxis_1 1 1

Warning ! Make a copy of the Controls.con before editing end after editing and store it outside the profile, so you can restore the contronls.con if something went wrong.
I have a drawer called storage, holding the original_controls.con and last_edited_controls.con

1) Go commander, the sqauds usually behave themselves then. As for fighting back..they do seem kind of dumb, no idea why the X's seem to be the ships in particular that don't fire at anything.

2) No idea whats changed, perhaps a setting got smudged in the placement file. But yes, can be annoying to bump the lip and end up with 50% HP.

3) Not a big deal IMO, Rebels aren't smart enough to know what the objective is, instead use a move order to put the squads in position and take the heat off the human players.

I think if anything this is more of a time filler/practice map for flying.

Couple o' questions for the devs and anyone who cares to answer, about the new co-op yavin.

1: can we see some sort of quickly thrown together bot FAQ? It can be amended later if needed, but stuff like
How do you make the rebels fight back instead of flying in a straight line
How do you make the squad follow orders
what settings should we use... etc and so forth.

2: Is there a reason that the Ties are harder to get out of the hangar on this one?
The bots def have difficulty, but its tough for us humans too.
I find it helps if you yaw left or right- the rotation tends to help you not hit the lip on the way out.

3: Where did the CP marker over the exhaust port go? Can we have it back? If its still there, its not on the minimap.
