do you have Windows XP/Vista?

if I had such weird problem I'd install XP updates, service packs, etc... i've never heard of something like this. If you really have enough free HDD space this can be some compatibility issue(dunno some ppl use win98 still ) but i dunno.

tried that and increased the value. Still i cna't get it toinstall

if you're talking about the quota, maybe you should DISABLE it completely, not just increase value

You should also check that you havent set use limits on the space available on your hard drive, if you have then, even if you have say... 5 GB free space you may not be allowed to fill it up fully.

PS. This should be in client support no?

so, if you can't install, this has nothing to do with amount of your RAM(if u have enough to boot windows ofc ). you should check if you have enough space on you HDD, not RAM. On WinXP even if it seems you have enough free space, sometimes page file can be larger than needed (if you have auto resize option set). also AFAIK windows by default uses 10% of ur disk space for deleted files. so even if u have e.g. free 5GB of 100GB partition u should remove/uninstall something in order to be able to install anything.
