Yeah. ain't perfect, but it gets the result you're after. I guess you'll just have to shout into VOIP or Vent or whatever...

Works for me, I just tend to get annoyed when someone does pop into the seat, rocket off into the sky, and send the shuttle careening straight into a hill or something.

What I tend to do if I want that quick engine kill switch is to switch out of the pilot seat to a passenger or gunner one. The result is that the Shuttle then drops out of the sky like a brick, excellent for those high speed landings. Of course this only works if the Shuttle isn't full and you have a spare seat to switch into. The other problem is someone might spawn into the pilot seat and do some muppet move and take off again or something. But more often than not using this tactic will get you down to the ground quickly and safely.

I think for landing, we need a "kill engines" button. Once the ramp is down, landing gear is down, wings are up, people are ready to get out, I'd like to just drop the thing, instead of slowly float/tilt forward and crush all of the unfortunate lil' peoples that happen to be exiting the shuttle.

No.. the slower they fold, the harder it is to know where they are.

Pilot laser cannons are fine. Possible damage boost would be nice.

I think we need:

Slower wing folding.

ONLY vertical take off if possible.

Better slowing down time.

Blaster or laser cannons should have some splash damage.

Landing is a huge issue. You land the right way and tip over, then you blow up, causing a complete waste of time and soldiers.

Pilot laser cannon is pretty useless, maybe we should give it some splash damage and a bit more power or eliminate it.

Dying while in the Lamda (rocket hits it, and I die in my seat)

Well, it does face the wrong way , and we don't really see it accelerate, but it seems to leave the hangar pretty fast.

It still takes off vertically, though, not horizontally .
