I had a FirstStrike.exe has stopped working error a while back which was oddly enough because the bf2142 cd wasn't in the drive.

No, 2142 settings will not make a differance in First Strike. This may be easier if you join us in IRC. If you just click on the FS IRC button at the top of the forum menu you can log on and someone can help talk you through.

iv already tried the +szx 1680 +szy 1050 and it didnt worked . iv re-tried that and it didnt work either.
yes my FS install i clean i v just reinstall it today but still nothing . and its from a different mirror. iv tried the admin thing too

what do u mean by DO NOT change the ingame setting. when iv played BF2142 iv put all the graphic in high and what ? can that be the prob??

Ok. Are you using a clean First Strike install, I ask becuase in your first post you state you have tried a number of fixes.

First thing to do is to make sure your launcher is correctly configured for your resolution, so click file, then preferences and in the arguments field type +szx 1680 +szy 1050

That will make it run at your native resolution. DO NOT change the in game video settings. Now see if you can join the BI or RSF servers after the game has updated itself through the FS launcher.

Also, ensure that the FS launcher is set to 'run as admin' since you are running on vista.

issues are. crash to desktop when starting a single-player mission with the "first strike stopped working" message. same with multiplayer.
bf2142 is working fine. i bought the deluxe version 1week ago .

Well, probably easier to help with if you dont apply so many changes

Anyway, if you have a fresh version of 2142, can you please tell me exactly what the issues are. When in SP the only working map is Yavin. When on Multiplayer I suggest only trying the BI and RSF servers as I know they are running the very latest version of FS.

ok im just here to know if someone can help me because ....

well i saw this realy interesting mod and i'v download it BUT i launched the FS launcher and i went in solo it crashed , multiplayer crashed again ..
i'v did all the solution that u said in all the other topics (1 core bat. , monitor adjustment, game update, FS update, reinstalling etc...) I AM EXAUSTED what can i do . help pls..

config: AMD athlon 64 core duo 2,7 ghz , nvidia 9600 GT , monitor asus 1680X1050, vista famlial edition premium SP1 ..
