Unless you're trying to use a no-cd crack.
you could try uninstalling fs and 2142 then re-installing 2142 and patching to 1.5, then seeing if it works. If you get a problem with installation or the same no cd error then best look for a new drive methinks.

The same problem is with the original BF2142. My DVD/CD isint scrathed or anything else.
