haha yeah i noticed that, it was actually just a weird random problem, bf2142 just didnt update correctly, so i went and reupdated it and everything was fine

Mind saying what you possibly did to fix it?

Also, sorry about lack or replies, but most of the support people are European and you did ask pretty late at night for us to respond

nevermind, hours later, i did some tweaking, and stumbled across it at some point cause i just tried again and it worked, but there's no one playing

I used to play a lot of the 1942 SW mod, and now I've got high hopes to give this one a go. Vista Ultimate 64-bit, AMD Phenom II X4, GTX285, 4gb ram, etc. Yet, after updating all my drivers, disabling UAC, running it as admin anyway, checked widescreen, trying the affinity trick but I can't figure out how to set the affinity for bf2142.exe and firststrike.exe (tried through the task manager and the code but I wasn't exactly sure about it). Still always crashing right after the flicker to black before the game would load. claiming a renddx9.dll fault. first time installing bf2142 or FS on this machine, but bf2142 ran fine before FS and still runs fine now, just through FS it doesn't work.
